  1. I do not care for the pic I used. It was the best I found when I searched for weapons. I searched for lies, but some of those pics are crazy scary.

  2. Praise God Leviticus is over!
I can summarize it for you: wash everything, "you will die" and girls are gross.

  3. There is something I seriously want to discuss from Leviticus. This is where it says not to have sex with animals or your mother. And where it says that a man should not lie with a man like he lies with a woman.

But it also says not to cut your hair or have a tattoo. And a whole slew of other crazy rules. In some chapter previously, it even said that killing a baby in the womb was not the same as killing a man.

So this is addressing homosexuality? It doesn't say anything about female homosexuality, correct? Jesus never says anything about homosexuality at all. So men having sex with men is lumped in with cutting your sideburns and tattoos, how is this sorted out? I seriously don't get it. There are rules about what animals to eat too and some of the sea animals that aren't allowed we eat now.

So these rules don't apply now? These rules are just showing us how people were living before Christ. Or all these rules apply now...I don't think that is what Christ said. How can you pick homosexuality out of this long list of rules and say it is still a sin worse than other things that aren't sins anymore? ...or are you saying that getting a tattoo is still a sin?

In other words, help! Please explain it to me.

  4. You summed the book up very nicely. I summed it up as, "blood bath."
I can't explain it. Someone said, recently, that homosexuality is only a sin if it is acted upon. Basically, homosexuality is a sin like alcoholism is a sin and other addictions.
Someone else said that God desires for a man and woman to be united and the two become one flesh, which is mentioned in multiple parts of the Bible. And, along this line of thinking, since two men can not reproduce, it is not natural and thus against nature and God.
Leviticus, also, says that for a man to have his seed leave his body makes him unclean till evening. So, pretty much any man who has morning sex with his wife has sinned for that day?
I would guess female homosexuality is left out because so many times in the Bible female stuff is not addressed specifically but lumped under the word man. But, I don't know...
