  1. In chapter 11, are the leaders of the Israelites receiving the Holy Spirit? It reads a lot like Pentecost.

  2. I know this isn't exactly here in this section but it was in our lecture the other day and I am thinking about it so I might as well post it here.

In the BSF lecture last week, the question was "What direction is your life headed?" And I really just don't know. At one point I would say I want to be a teacher and have a family but that has happened. So now where am I going?

We went out to eat with a couple my husband is friends with last week and the husband was surprised that I don't have an active, well-connected blog. The thing is I think I am too tempted to be stressed and controlled by a blog. I don't want online only relationships. I don't want to be working for a blog to make a good impression on people I don't even know. Plus, let's be honest, I am a horrible writer.

You (Jess) are homeschooling your boys. You don't want to go back to teaching. You are actively perusing being a Douala. I just feel so 'blah.' Like I am not really great at anything anymore. I would love to go back to school just because I like school. I would love to work on homeschooling curriculum stuff. ...I feel like I have failed because I was smart at school but haven't done anything with it. ...I'm having a rough day. Can you tell?

  3. I think part of it is the ages of the girls. I remember going through that when the boys were little. I'm a mom, a wife, I was a teacher...NOW WHAT?
That is part of what I love about teaching child birth, one night a week I get to be an adult, hanging out with other adults, talking about something that is so important and reminds me and lets me talk about the Little Men I love.
You will find a new nitch or a new love for an old one.

  4. Numbers 30:6-15
If you commit to something but your husband says, 'no' then you are no longer committed!
I love this. I did not know this rule was in the Bible.
